Step by step to teach on RCSkills: profile, Stripe, billing, courses, videos, review, prices and statistics.
During the beta, payments run in test mode (TEST): no real charges are made.
1.Sign up and request approval
Teaching on RCSkills starts with a regular account. Teachers and academies use the same type of account.
- Create your account with “Create account” and confirm your email if asked.
- Open “My account” › “I want to teach on RCSkills”.
- Fill in your public name, bio and speciality, then select “Submit instructor application”.
- The RCSkills team reviews your application. You will see its status in “My instructor profile”; if something is missing, the reason is shown and you can fix it and submit again.
2.Set up your profile
Your public name, bio, photo and link are what learners will see.
- Use the name your learners know you by, or your academy's name.
- In your bio, explain your experience, your style and who your classes are for.
- Profile photo: square, 800 × 800 px recommended (JPG, PNG or WebP).
- You can add a link to Instagram, YouTube or your website.
- The categories on your public profile come from your published courses.
3.Connect and verify Stripe
Your learners' payments are collected in your own Stripe account, and RCSkills receives its fee automatically.
- Open “Payments” › “Stripe account” and select “Start or continue Stripe onboarding”.
- Stripe will ask for your identity details and bank account. Stripe manages that data, not RCSkills.
- When you return, check the status in “Payments”; verification may take a little while to show.
- During the beta, payments run in test mode (TEST): no real charges are made.
4.Complete your billing details
They identify who receives RCSkills' services for invoicing.
- In “Payments” › “Billing details”, enter the holder, legal or company name, tax ID and address.
- Select “Save billing details”. You can update them later.
- Identity verification and the bank account are completed in Stripe, not in this form.
5.Review and accept the instructor agreement
The agreement governs your relationship with RCSkills and is separate from Stripe onboarding.
- In “Payments” › “Instructor agreement”, review the current version published by RCSkills.
- To accept it, you need to have saved your billing details.
- If no version is available yet, you can prepare Stripe and your billing details; sales remain blocked until then.
6.Create courses, modules and lessons
In “Manage courses” you prepare the content in Spanish and English.
- Select “Create course”, choose the category and fill in the title and descriptions in ES and EN.
- Upload the thumbnail (1600 × 1000 px recommended) and the hero image (1600 × 900 px) with “Upload image”.
- In “Modules and lessons”, add the modules and, inside each one, its lessons in the order they should be watched.
- You can mark some lessons as previews so anyone can watch them.
7.Prepare, compress and upload your videos
A good video lets your learners see every movement, position and technical detail.
- Record in landscape (16:9) at 1080p, with a tripod at hip height, the whole body and the floor in view.
- Use 25 fps (30 fps in countries with 60 Hz mains power). For fast footwork, spins or slow motion, use 50/60 fps if you have plenty of light.
- Use plenty of light from the front, a plain background, and clothes and shoes that contrast with the floor. Turn off HDR video and lock exposure and focus.
- Export as MP4 H.264 at 1920 × 1080, at the same fps you recorded, with video at up to 8 Mbps and AAC stereo audio at 48 kHz.
- In HandBrake: “Fast 1080p30” preset, constant quality RF 20, framerate “Same as source” and “Constant”, and “Web Optimized”.
- Expect about 40–60 MB per minute. We recommend files of 2 GB at most, because the upload link expires after an hour.
- Each lesson takes one video of up to 30 minutes (5–15 recommended). With the initial quota you can have 10 videos and 120 minutes in total.
- In “Manage videos”, choose the lesson, select the file and select “Upload to Mux”. Keep the page open until it reaches 100%; Mux then processes the video.
8.Request review and publish
Every course goes through a quality review before it is published.
- In the course editor, complete the “Course quality review” and select “Submit course for review”.
- The RCSkills team checks the mandatory requirements. If it asks for changes, you will see its notes and can “Submit corrections for review”.
- Once the course is approved, the “Publish” button appears. Paid courses cannot be published until sales are enabled.
9.Set up prices and subscriptions
In “Membership and prices” you define how learners access your courses.
- Choose each course's commercial mode: free, course subscription, included in your membership, or both.
- Create cumulative membership ranks and decide which courses each rank includes.
- Set the price for each period: monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual.
- Then, in “Payments” › “Subscriptions”, prepare those prices in Stripe.
- The RCSkills fee and infrastructure costs are shown in “Payments” › “Fees”.
10.Check income, statistics and activity
Track your sales and the RCSkills fees separately.
- “Payments” › “Financial activity” summarises charges, refunds and fees for the last 30 days.
- “Economic statistics” shows the detail and other periods.
- Charges, invoices and refunds can also be managed from your Stripe Dashboard.
- The amounts are for information only: they are not profit or available bank balance.
