Cancellation, Refunds and Withdrawal Policy
Version 1.0 · Applicable from October 24, 2026
Version 1.0 · October 23, 2026. Applies to subscriptions for individual instructors from publication.
1. Purpose
This policy applies to subscriptions giving access to courses offered by instructors through RCSkills. The identity of the instructor offering and receiving payment for each subscription, total price, billing interval and scope of access must be displayed before payment. RCSkills provides intermediation and technical management services, without prejudice to the legal responsibilities of the parties.
2. How to cancel renewal
Students may cancel upcoming renewals using the features available in their account or the Stripe customer portal made available for the relevant subscription. Cancelling renewal prevents a charge for the next billing period and does not terminate access to the period already paid for. Cancelling one membership does not affect other memberships held with different instructors.
If the available technical controls cannot be used, a cancellation request may be sent to soporte@rcskills.com. Ordinary cancellation is separate from the statutory right of withdrawal and legal claims for refunds arising from breach of contract.
3. Statutory right of withdrawal
As a general rule, a consumer entering into a distance contract has 14 calendar days to withdraw, subject to the exceptions provided for by law. Where the contract involves the supply of digital content not provided on a tangible medium and the exception in Article 103(m) of Spain’s General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users applies, loss of that right is conditional on compliance with the statutory requirements, including prior express consent for performance to begin during the withdrawal period, acknowledgement of the consequences and confirmation of the contract in a durable medium where required.
Merely entering into a contract, opening an account or watching a lesson does not, on its own, amount to a waiver of withdrawal rights. Where a subscription constitutes ongoing provision of digital services, the applicable legal rules will govern. If it is uncertain whether an exception applies or whether the necessary evidence exists, RCSkills will process the request and will not assert loss of withdrawal rights unless this can be legally justified.
4. Exercising the right of withdrawal
Within the applicable period, the consumer may communicate an unequivocal decision to withdraw by emailing soporte@rcskills.com, identifying the contract or subscription and providing sufficient information to locate it. The optional form at the end of this policy may be used, but is not mandatory. RCSkills will facilitate referral to the trader legally responsible where necessary.
Any refund and cessation of access resulting from a valid withdrawal will be carried out according to the applicable legal rules, including refunding the appropriate amounts using the same payment method unless a valid alternative is agreed. Statutory deadlines are not extended by internal support procedures or financial reconciliation.
5. Refunds due to incidents or breach
In addition to withdrawal rights, students retain the remedies available for lack of conformity or breach, including rectification of the service, provision of the content, price reduction or termination with a refund where appropriate. Examples include inability to access the service attributable to the provider, unjustified early removal of essential materials, a mismatch between the course and its advertised description, or an incorrect charge.
Refunds will be handled with the instructor acting as trader and the payment processor. They may be full or partial according to the circumstances and applicable law. Full termination may result in the end of the corresponding paid access; a partial refund does not necessarily revoke the entire membership.
6. Voluntary withdrawal by an instructor
When an instructor stops offering a membership or leaves RCSkills, new subscriptions and affected renewals will cease. Students will keep access during periods already paid for, provided this is lawful and safe. Relevant termination details will be communicated. Urgent removal due to infringement or risk will require individual consideration of suitable alternatives and any refunds due.
7. Complaints procedure
To report an issue, contact soporte@rcskills.com with the email associated with the account, instructor, subject and transaction reference where available. Never send complete payment card numbers or passwords by email. RCSkills will acknowledge the request and reasonably seek to resolve it or refer it to the appropriate party, without limiting complaints to consumer authorities or competent courts.
8. Model withdrawal form
To the seller identified in the offer or, for onward transmission, to RCSkills (soporte@rcskills.com):
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my subscription contract for the following digital content or services:
Instructor or seller: ______________________________
Subscription or order identifier: ______________________________
Date of contract: ______________________________
Consumer’s name: ______________________________
Email address linked to the account: ______________________________
Date of notice: ______________________________
The consumer may submit this information by email; no handwritten signature is required for a statement made electronically.
9. Additional terms
The individual pre-contract information provided for each purchase and mandatory rights under Spanish and European Union law prevail over any incompatible provision. This policy must be read together with the Student Terms and Conditions and the Legal Notice.
